How do I work out the length of my film?
To give you an idea of the volume and time involved: a minimum order of 30 minutes is one full 18 cm reel.
How an order works
- Checking the overall condition of the film
Visual assessment of the film, perforations, curling, storage conditions and the amount of work.
- Wet cleaning of the film
Cleaning with lint-free wipes and velvet moistened with a special cleaning fluid.
- Winding film that has no reels
If your film is wound without a reel, we use our own reels for digitization (paid service).
- Frame-by-frame capture settings
We attach a temporary leader and set white balance, focus, exposure and shutter speed for your film.
- Constant visual control of the capture
Some people start the capture and walk away. We watch the capture the whole time: half an hour of film means one hour of capture and monitoring.
- Rendering
Output and calculation of your movie, depending on resolution, filters and corrections.
- Writing to your medium
The finished material is written to your drive or USB stick.
